Mary’s Clamshell Pickle

Clamshell Pickle quilt by Mary with Inklingo

Mary used her stash of Kaffe Fassett fabrics for her stunning Clamshell Pickle quilt.

Each clamshell is a work of art!

There is a choice of 3 sizes. Mary used the 6 inch shapes.

She sewed the points by hand (lots of continuous stitching!) and added the borders by machine.

I would love to see this quilt in person.

There are several articles on the blog about the two methods of fussy cutting with Inklingo.

Print quilt shapes on fabric with Inklingo

No templates! Print the shapes on fabric, cut and sew!

There is another article on the blog showing quilts Mary had made with Inklingo up until 2010.

As you can see, Mary is an artist. Printing the shapes on fabric with Inklingo allows her to express her creativity.

She knows her work will be precise and that she will be able to finish in the amount of time she wants to spend making a quilt, even a complex design like this one.

The video Introduction to Inklingo explains the three key ideas that make Inklingo work. Mary was one of the first three people I told about Inklingo. I explained these three key ideas to her for the first time almost exactly 10 years ago!

Great quilt! I am always amazed at the complexity of some hand stitched (and machine stitched) quilts. Every quilt I make I try to learn a few new things. I was amazed at the amount of sewing I had to do for a disappearing 4 patch. wowsa. I am happy you won some ribbons! beautiful. A clam shell is one of the quilts in my mind to make.
