Orange Peel (Deluxe)

A downloadable shape collection (26 MB) See the actual sizes in the free PDF at the bottom of this page.

Print shapes on fabric with any ordinary Inkjet printer.

This is the DELUXE version of Orange Peel. There are fifteen shapes (instead of the basic seven) which make many variations of Orange Peel designs.

In addition to the blocks in the BASIC Orange Peel collection, even more designs are possible, including Improved 9-Patch, Alabama Beauty, Eiffel Tower, and Orange Blossom.

Deluxe Orange Peel block variations

Cut perfect curves with a rotary cutter instead of scissors—just follow the line.

Sew along the stitching line with minimal pinning, aligning the pieces with perfect corners and matching marks.

Orange Peel has never been this precise, simple, and fast! No wonder quilters say Inklingo is the best thing to happen to quilting since the rotary cutter.

There is a BASIC version of this collection with 7 shapes instead of 15, which can be combined to make many Orange Peel designs.

Orange Peel 4 inch unit

Both the OP 4.0 (Basic) and OPD 4.0 (Deluxe) are based on four-inch square units.

STITCH BY HAND OR BY MACHINE

Unless I need a portable project, I stitch Orange Peel variations by machine.

The curves are gentle and Inklingo's precise lines make it easier than ever before. Instructions for pinning and stitching curves are included.

A running stitch is the first hand stitch any sewer learns, and piecing by hand is simple, portable, and relaxing. You can follow the assembly directions in any book or pattern, but we recommend that you refer to THE INKLINGO HANDBOOK for instructions that will help you piece this beautiful, classic shape, by hand or by machine.

Experienced quilter? You will find these curves easy to cut and sew, thanks to Inklingo’s precise lines for stitching and cutting, printed on the fabric.

New to quilting? The curves in this collection are gentle enough for a beginner with basic sewing skills. If you are a complete novice, the instructions for hand and machine piecing in The Inklingo Handbook will get you started. Thanks to Inklingo, you can use scissors if you don’t have a rotary cutter and mat (yet).
