MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Welcome to the Electric Quilt Christmas Countdown on the All About Inklingo blog.
There are FOUR Christmas presents—and everyone gets at least one!
*
ONE . . . FREE EQ7 PROJECT FOR EVERYONE
“Inklingo Christmas Rings” Downloadable Electric Quilt Project File
for Inklingo Double Wedding Ring.
Download from the EQ blog.
The Inklingo Double Wedding Ring Design Book is at least a $20 value but it is free for the next two weeks. Merry Christmas!
Normally the design book is free when you buy Inklingo DWR shapes to print on fabric but if you order between now and December 31, you can download the design book free.
Design with a variety of Inklingo arcs!*
- an arc that is all one piece
- an arc with one piece plus two arc ends
- an arc with four pieces plus two arc ends
- an arc with 8 pieces plus two arc ends
- Pickle Dish
These blocks are included in another free EQ7 project file under the EQ tab (above).
NOTE My EQ blocks are adequate for design purposes, but would not be accurate for templates. I use Inklingo to print the shapes on fabric, so I do not worry about ultra-precision when I design in EQ.
The Inklingo Double Wedding Ring Design Book does not include the shapes to print on fabric, but it does include everything you need to know to Design, Print, Cut and Sew a Double Wedding Ring quilt:
- notes about all the variations
- fabric selection
- rotary cutting tips
- strategies for fussy cutting
- design notes AND how to count the shapes
- fabric requirements for many quilt sizes
- hand piecing instructions
- machine piecing instructions, including my favorite precision tips
- detailed, step-by-step assembly instructions
- an innovative pressing guide
- pressing instructions that might surprise you, but make your quilt look its best
- notes about finishing with a straight or curved edge
- worksheets
There are sample pages of the design book on the website.
The design book works even if you don’t have EQ7. Of course, it is even more fun with EQ.
If you are an Inklingo quilter, you already know how much faster and easier it is to sew Double Wedding Ring with Inklingo than it was in the olden days with templates!
50 designs in only 2 minutes! Click on the video to play.
The shapes for all of the designs in the video can be printed on fabric with Inklingo!
No matter how complicated your EQ DWR design looks, you can get beautiful results with the cutting and stitching lines printed on the fabric with Inklingo.
Confidence. A wonderful thing. Let your artistic vision come to life!
You can sew Double Wedding Ring by hand or by machine or a bit of both.
There are several articles about Double Wedding Ring listed on the Main Double Wedding Ring Page on the website. (This is the blog.)

25 Signs YOU are an Inklingo Quilter
Are you following Inklingo on Facebook?
It is definitely Sunday 21 here now, I can hear the church bells ringing, so hopefully this is the time and place to leave a “FOUR . . . $50 INKLINGO GIFT CERTIFICATE” comment
I have been making 40 mug mats – so a certificate towards a lovely new project would be wonderful
Now a question – how did monkey come to be your sidekick, confidante and obvious inspiration 🙂
Cheers Anja
Making a DWR for our sons April wedding
After the first of the year, I am going to Lucy Boston. Have the material, then I will take the time to do it.
I’ve been away from using Inklingo for a bit, but the DWR variations are too gorgeous to resist! Will be digging into the Design Book as a Christmas present to myself!
All I need to do some of this is get the energy to sew. I have lots of fabric (actually a significant stash) just waiting to be turned into something great.
O I like this very much. I can try the free shapes and I have the possibility to win wonderful prices . Merry Christmas everyone
Wow, great prices you listed above! I love them, already downloaded the DWR book! Great read with x-mas or even before! I love DWR designs, they look to complicated and geneous but the work is less with Inklingo! A new attempt to get the printer work as I want it too!
Thanks for all your work to make our lives easier!
Have a great x-mas with all your loved ones including Russ and Monkey!
Double Wedding Ring is on my bucket list to make!!!!! Lots of great ideas! Thanks
Very generous Christmas prezzies! Thanks Linda.
One of my Christmas gifts will be the Waltzing Matilda collection. It would look good in red and green… don’t you think.
Happy Holidays to you and Monkey (and Russ too)
thanks for all the freebies
I moved recently and my quilting room is not set up yet, but all the boxes are right behind where I am sitting now. I am so eager to get back to Inklingo! It’s so easy!
I hope to try Inklingo one of these days. It looks like an easy way to do a Hexagon quilt. Thank you for your give always. I hope I am a lucky one.
I could really use the gift card to buy some wonder things.
I would love to win the fat quarters. I could do so much with them..
Northcott fat quarters look luscious — hope I win!
Thank you Linda. You are so generous. I spend more time looking at your wonderful designs than sewing them. Could this be a New Year’s resolution?
Next year will be the year of finishing quilts in progress and trying Inklingo. I may even manage to get a copy of EQ!
What an awesome Christmas gift for some lucky person. You are more than generous with your ideas and talent. Good luck to all during this blessed season.
How fun!
New Year’s Resolution! Get on with Inklingo creativity and introduce my quilt group to it! I am so inspired but have been locked in to finishing up my UFO’s the OLD way … must move on!
Learning more about quilting gives me the desire of bright Christmas fabrics! I can see these bright green and red fabrics added to a gold and have several Christmas things for out home.
Merry Christmas from Vancouver Island Linda. Thanks for the amazing gifts and the chance to win more. Inklingo is a great product.
Thank you so much for the gifts. I recently purchased EQ7 and I am anxious to try out the free project with the program. I love INKLINGO! Thank you again for sharing with all of us.
Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the giveaway! Someday (when the kids are grown up) I want to try Inklingo, at 9 months and 4 years, I just don’t have the time now!

Inklingo is on my “bucket list”. Someday I will

Can’t wait to try this!
Double Wedding Ring is on my bucket list, and Inklingo sure looks like the easiest way to piece it! Thanks for the giveaways.
Your posts are so inspirational. As soon as I get a new cartridge for my inkjet printer I can get started.
OMG I HAVE TO CONFESS I WAS NEVER A FAN OF DOUBLE WEDDING RING BUT AFTER SEEING YOUR ELECTRIC QUILT DESIGN I JUST LOVE THAT LAYOUT. I’M NOT YOUR TRADITIONAL QUILTER…I LOVE “DIFFERENT” TECHNIQUES AND THIS IS HOW I TEACH MY CLASSES. AFTER CHRISTMAS I WILL BE INVESTING IN INKLINGO (CHRISTMAS GIFTS CONSUMED ALL MY MONEY! LOL) I ACTUALLY BOUGHT MY BEST FRIEND OF 56 YEARS “EQ7 FOR MAC” FOR CHRISTMAS. CAN’T WAIT TO SHARE INKLINGO WITH HER. WE WILL HAVE A BLAST! THANK YOU FOR SUCH INSPIRATION!
I have enjoyed Quilted Diamonds and look forward to working with the Double Wedding Ring Designs in EQ. Thank you for making it easy. Does Monkey make house calls for trouble shooting?
In the rush of making Christmas gifts I haven’t had a chance to play with Inklingo yet, but I’m looking forward to having fun with it in the new year.
I love Northcott – even though they removed “Silk” from the name. Still my favorite fabric to use – it really does feel like “silk”.
I’ve always wanted to make a Double Wedding Ring, but it’s been too frightening. But now….I am going to do it in 2015. Thank you, and Happy Christmas to you and Monkey, Linda.
What beautiful red and green colors, my favorites and inklingo makes creating so much easier. Thanks Linda
Thank you for the pattern and for the Wedding Ring instruction book! I’m a big fan of Inklingo because it is a great way to achieve precision in hand and machine piecing both, and your blog and emails are full of helpful hints, too. 🙂
I love Northcott fabric. Thank you for offering these prizes.

Hope to hear from you again!
Mery christmas everyone ! A doubble wedding ring quilt is high on my to make list.
I have yet to use Inklingo, but fully understand how wonderfully complicated shapes come together thanks to the printed lines on fabric. I’m looking forward to my first Inklingo project in the near future.
You do a great job of keeping us all informed with your posts and videos; I especially love the videos as it seems to help me ‘get it right’!
