When There is Shadow quilt with Inklingo

Sewing a When There is Shadow quilt is very similar to sewing a hexagon quilt but Shadow is a distinctive, unusual design from Willyne Hammerstein.

You won’t see this at every quilt show. You can be the first.

Click on an image below to start a slide show to see how it is done.

If you can sew hexagons, you can sew this stunning design too!

Good News! The search bar at the top of the website works like a dream.

For example, if you search for Circling the Intersection or Kaleidoscope Part 2, you will find a video showing how Inklingo quilters get perfect intersections.

Try searching for more terms like Let’s Twist Again too!

Bad News! There is no tab for Millefiori Quilts 5 in the drop-down Shop Menu—yet. Please use the Search function in the meantime.

More Good News! If it is very, very hot outside where you are, you can stay inside and sew, like me! 😊

Millefiori Quilts 5 by Willyne Hammerstein

The new shape collection PDF for the When There is Shadow quilt is ready for you—thanks to requests from Inklingo quilters like you.

Willyne and Quiltmania have taken your suggestions to make Millefiori Quilts 5 my favorite.

For example, there are coloring layouts for each of the 17 magnificent designs to help you plan YOUR quilt. Wonderful!

Once you decide on the colors, the Inklingo shape collection PDF includes fabric requirements for every layout.

Naming a Quilt

If you are like me, you wonder how Willyne gets the names for her quilts, so I googled When There is Shadow and found this:

“Wherever there is light, there is shadow; wherever there is length, there is shortness; wherever there is white, there is black. Just like these, as the self-nature of things can not exist alone, they are called non-substantial.” — Buddha

You can think deeply while you print and sew, okay?

The Inklingo version is a little lighter, not a shadow anywhere: 😊

“When There is A Line to Cut On, there is happiness; When There is A Line to Sew Along, there is confidence; When You Order before July 10, there is a very low price. Just like these, as the self-nature of quilters is creative, they are called people I want to know.” – Monkey

How’s that? 😊

Why I don’t sell acrylic templates

Whether you use Inklingo or not, you do not need acrylic templates for any of Willyne’s designs, just the book, some freezer paper, and your favorite fabrics.

Sewing by hand with a running stitch is less expensive than EPP. Freezer paper also works better than acrylic for fussy cutting.
