Description
More than just a Tulip Patch Pattern
The Inklingo pattern for Tulip Patch in Bloom includes four variations in four sizes!
If you are not an Inklingo quilter (yet), that is okay. This pattern is designed so you can print the shapes on fabric with the optional Tulip Patch 8-inch shape collection PDF or use freezer paper templates.
You will love the results either way!
PDF DOWNLOAD – PATTERN PLUS BONUS SHAPE 19.6 MB (77 pages)
System Requirements – Windows or Mac with Adobe Reader (not a phone or tablet) and any ordinary color Inkjet printer or all-in-one.
IMPORTANT NOTE You do NOT want to print all 77 pages! Have a look first and only print the pages for the design you will make. (Pages 38-77 are only intended to be printed on fabric. There is no point in printing 40 pages like these on paper.)
Bonus Inklingo Triangle Shape to Print on Fabric
This is an extra-special pattern in many ways, partly because it includes a bonus Inklingo triangle (2 layouts). My design required an extra triangle, one that is not included in the Tulip Patch 8-inch shape collection PDF.
Use a rotary cutter or scissors. Cut on the lines, sew along the lines.
Templates to Print on Freezer Paper
The Tulip Patch 8-inch shape collection PDF is optional. You can print freezer paper templates from this pattern and you can print the bonus HST (Half Square Triangle) on fabric.
Printing the shapes on fabric makes these designs easier.
When you print the shapes on fabric with Inklingo, you have perfect straight grain, precision corners, and matching marks.
Sizes of Tulip Patch in Bloom Quilts
Not including borders and binding, the sizes of the 4 variations are:
32 x 32 inches, 45.25 x 45.25 inches, 64 x 64 inches, and 79 x 79 inches
One-Page Sewing Guide for Tulip Patch Quilt Blocks
by Hand or Machine
The unique Inklingo one-page guides make it easy to assemble the individual blocks.
You can hand piece with Inklingo if you prefer or you can combine hand and machine piecing (hybrid).
Simple Assembly Instructions for Diagonal Set
The two on-point designs do NOT require you to sew diagonal rows! (It’s ingenious.)
This pattern does not include detailed sewing or quilting instructions.
Cut on a line, sew along a line!
Love the lines. Quilt more!
